Specimen Type: Pleural Fluid

Container/Tube: Plastic vial

Specimen Volume: 0.5 mL

Collection Instructions:

1.Collect pleural fluid in a leak proof container.

2. Centrifuge specimen at ambient temperature.

3. Transfer 0.5 mL into a plastic vial and freeze.

3. Ship frozen.

Note: Specimen must remain frozen until received at performing lab.
