Methodology
This test is performed using Beckman Coulter DxI chemiluminescent immunoassay (ELISA).
The concentration of CA 15-3 in a given specimen can vary when measured by assays from different manufacturers, due to differences in methods and reagent specificity. Results determined by assays using different methods may not be comparable.
Special Handling
Heparinized plasma may be used, but should be noted.
Routine Turnaround Time
Monday-Friday samples received by 1 pm for same day results.
